I thought the characters in this book had very interesting (and in the case of the heroine, quite unusual for the genre) flaws and strengths, and I really liked the way that those things worked out in the course of the plot. I started out fairly unsure and actually almost abandoned the book, but I persevered and I feel rewarded for having done so. I liked the way the plot wrapped up, although I honestly could have done without the coda/epilogue entirely (and I may pretend that it doesn't exist because I think I liked the book better without that, for largely personal reasons.) Overall, though, quite recommended.

/The book was fine if a little slow, but what I hate about it was for most of the book she told Archie repeatedly that one of the reasons she couldn't be with him was because she couldn't have kids and suddenly in the epilogue she has five kids? I mean if you want to talk about such a sensitive topic the least you could have done is stuck to the plot point. Instead the author could have shown them happy with their nieces and nephews or is it really necessary to Make them parents as if that was the only important thing in a long-term relationship/marriage/

It really came down to the fact that I didn't care for the characters at all.

This one started off slow for me, but I quickly fell in love with Camilla & Arch! Camilla seems cold and bitchy at first but the reader quickly finds out it’s because she has 2 secrets she doesn’t want anyone to find out. This was another great read by Lorraine Heath.
