This book made me want to read more mysteries, but not by this author. I didn’t like the way that the reveal played out - it felt really rushed.
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Animal cruelty, Confinement, Cursing, Death, Gun violence, Slavery, Suicide, Violence, Blood, Vomit, Kidnapping, Car accident, Death of parent, Murder, Cultural appropriation, Alcohol, Colonisation, and Injury/Injury detail

The Sacred Bridge was my first Anne Hillerman book, though I've a fair number of Tony Hillerman's books. It was very interesting, if a little slow paced for my tastes. Unlike other mysteries, the two separate stories do not appear to be related, but they are good mysteries in their own right. Fascinating look at the Navajo Nation, and I enjoyed meeting Bernie.
Graphic: Car accident
Moderate: Animal cruelty, Animal death, Suicide, and Dementia
Minor: Vomit
