"Synchronization. Everything lines up like a sign of where you are suppose to be. But what do you give up? Because you give something up. As simple - and complicated - as the other line, the other way your life could have been if you had taken a different path. If you had gotten into the right car. If you hadn't gotten in the wrong one."

This was such a wonderful book. I've been reading a ton of nonfiction and this was a nice change and quick read - I literally couldn't put it down! I loved the plot, it kept me turning pages. But what really drew me in was the character's perspectives on things and the way they vocalized their emotions and feelings and situations. I think some of the things that Dan, Finn, Bobby, and Georgia say can really apply to situations in our own lives. I also loved the story of Dan and Jen, its flawless and while I'm not married or old enough to know for sure I think maybe their situation speaks to how many couples their age may be feeling. Great read! I finished it in 3 days - so if you're looking for something quick to read on the plane or a lazy afternoon here it is!

A good book ... a quick read with intriguing interwoven storylines ... a definite page turner ... couldn't put it down for wanting to know how each characters' path would turn out ... two thumbs up.

For me, this book was full of characters that I truly didn't care much about. Unless I was actively disliking them. But even then I couldn't work up a good loathing for them. It was more of a "Meh, they sort of suck" feeling. And no matter how far along in the book I read, that never changed. If anything, I cared about several of them less as the story progressed.

Plus, every single member of the family was, of course, in the midst of personal drama. And I get it--that's often the case with books based on a family. And yet, even with the layers of drama, I was still bored with this entire group of people. The drama just seemed a combo of annoying and boring to me.

I would say it was definitely a case of the reader's personality & the book's personality not gelling at all.

Erin mentioned that this book was one of her first audiobooks. I needed a book that started with “E” for a bingo prompt, so I decided on this one.

The story follows Georgia and her family and all the drama of everyone seeming to fall apart. It starts with Georgia who runs away from her dress fitting after discovering her husband has been keeping a secret. She runs back to her family home and winery expecting to find comfort and instead she finds that everyone else has been harboring secrets of their own.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of Georgia until around the end. She seemed really pushy and bossy and honestly I just didn’t vibe with her, but she did redeem herself near the end. I would say my favorite character is Georgia’s best friend Suzanne. I LOVED the narrator’s voice for her and she was the perfect best friend even though she didn’t play a huge part in the story.

I loved the wine country setting even though I don’t drink wine, but one of my favorite movies is A Good Year and this setting just gave me those vibes.

Another thing I loved was the family drama. I liked how the author portrayed a family that wasn’t perfect but despite everything that happens, they’re still family.
