Frankie is an normal woman who wants to help reunite missing persons with their families. She came to Boston to solve an 11 month old missing person case involving a teenage girl. Frankie does not fit in with the neighborhood and as a white woman, is the vast minority. Most of the neighborhood is made up of people who immigrated to the US on 10 year visas and their 10 years are almost up.

I loved this story. Outside of the missing person story, there is a story about kids trying not to become gang members or drug dealers. If they can find something they are passionate about they have a chance to leave the neighborhood. Frankie is determined and does not let anything get in her way. She is battling her own past but has a firm control over her life. I love how independent Frankie is and loved the book.

Why have I never read/listened to a Lisa Gardner book before??
I listened to the audiobook by Bolinda Audio and the narrator, Regina Reagan was brilliant! She totally brought the story to life!
A fabulous mystery/police procedural suspense with some great characters. I had this audiobook going whenever I could and I'm looking forward to actually reading a Lisa Gardner book next time.

This one was not really for me. I felt all the characters (especially the main character) has a little too much bagage, which is spoon fed to you throughout the book. The plot also felt a little out there for me. Definitely didn't hate it but did not rnjoy it either. Totally my personal preference since the book is definitely not bad!

Not my favorite book from one of my favorite authors. The book feels very rushed and not what I hold Lisa Gardener books to. Maybe her next book will be better

I really liked the romance between Frankie and Lotham. I really thought she would choose to stay in the end and it's been a long time since I've liked a romance in a thriller crime book.

Frankie Elkin, solves cold cases, the cases the police have given up on and the public has forgotten about.
A recovering alcoholic, Frankie struggles with her own demons, a struggle that pushes her to solve these crimes.
Frankie is looking for Angelique Badeau a young woman with a bright future, but it doesn’t take long for Frankie to realize that more people are working against her in her search for Angelique.

Between Frankie's personal struggle and her search for Angelique I enjoyed this story.
But there was just something about it that felt off for me.
