A sweet and easy rom-com that unfortunately fell flat in the end. I loved the beginning, the sassy arguments and the weird thanksgiving dinner, but the story didn't really have a conflict or any big turning points. The last 1/3 is rather told than shown and the whole drama fits entirely inside the FMC's head, nothing actually happens. I liked the MMC, he had character and charm, but I wished there was some more depth to all of the characters.

The epilogue in the future were almost redundant. Also quite tacky.

BUT it's an easy holiday read and a fun little romance, albeit forgetable.

Quick sweet read, I recently finished some more intense books and this is a perfect lighthearted read and had me smiling. Definitely cutesy, but I liked that it wasn’t over dramatic.

So cute!! Just such cutesy dialogue between the two (M/F) leads. Fun rivals to lovers story

I read this in a day, and it is delicious! I love everything cupcakes, cocktails, and axe-throwing. Plus, the romance was the right amount of salty and sweet, and the sex was hot. Highly recommending this one! A perfect read for fans of Christina Lauren, Helen Hoang, or Jasmine Guillory.

This was my first book by Helena Hunting, and it certainly won’t be the last! I loved the enemies-to- lovers vibe between Blaire and Ronan, and how they teamed up together to support each other’s businesses against a challenge. Also, I’d love to find a place with a cupcake bar next door to an axe bar - sounds so fun!
The chemistry was great between these two and I couldn’t put the book down.

I loved getting to know Blair and Ronan. They come from unconventional families and are running two unconventional businesses. They're animosity at the beginning was so fun and watching them interact with each other families made me love them more.
I adored how Blair vented to her friend about her doubts instead of blowing up her relationship with Ronan. I get frustrated in books sometimes when they don't communicate and just end things. This wasn't the case here. And I loved that.
Teddy Hamilton was swoon worthy as Ronan. But I especially like his voice work a the grandpa. This was my first Holly Warren narration and I really liked her voice a lot. she was the perfect Blair.
