This book was really fun to read. I love Simon. The only problem I have with this book is the length of the chapters. I kind of found the character of Clary and Jace a bit annoying. I really liked reading this book.

It took me a while to finish this book, because I was also changing my room and studying for a big test, so I didnt give this book my full attention. However, I did enjoy reading it in my spare time, relaxing and taking my mind off of my studying in the evening. I enjoyed it very much and I just started reading book two, because I want to know what will happen next. Even though I saw the movie beforehand, I still kinda hoped that Clary and Jace wouldn't be brother and sister and fall in love, but I am also rooting for Simon too, so now knowing that they ARE brother and sister, I just hope they will bond and that Clary will fall for Simon!

I bought this book at a library book sale so I thought I would give it a try. I have never read any of Cassandra Clare's books. I am actually a little too old for the story. I think 15 year old me would have loved this series. The story was fine, but I felt it to be a little too young for me. I am a little curious about what happens in the series. I may pick up the next book in the future, but it is not something I really need to read right now. It is a good YA fantasy book.
