This book started off really good but once it hit the midway point it just spiralled down. I loved the characters which is why it gets a 3 star. I also loved how Aidan and Emma were very much present in this one as they were the ones who introduced the characters to each other. I didn't like how fast the rest of the book progressed. Once they realized they loved each other it just jumped ahead so many months ahead each following chapter...I didn't even get to experience the wedding and their was no conflict AT ALL. I really thought Davis would have come back to stir up the pot but no dice..he was not even talked about only at the beginning. and touched upon at the end. I really feel like Ms. Ashely just hashed this one out and just wanted it written as quickly as she could. I really am disappointed since I love Katie Ashley's books and I loved Pesh. I still love him but I would have wanted a story worth remembering.

What if I told you that I didn't read the first books in this series? Suppose I liked the synopsis so much when I saw the blog tour invite that I signed up so quickly I didn't even know it was part of a series. Yep that's me!!
While I feel like I might have enjoyed this more if I had read the previous books I can say that, regardless, I did like Pesh and Megan's story.
I love that they balanced each other out, I feel like it helped ground them more. I loved the seriousness of Pesh and how his passion for Megan took over and he became the guy who talked about fucking. I think dirty talk can be better when it's unexpected and not overused.
I liked how the characters from the previous books were incorporated into the story and it definitely made me want to go back and read them.
This was a sweet yet steamy read with little to no angst and an HEA. I will be reading more from this author soon, starting with The Proposition and The Proposal.

*I received an ARC from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review

This book was PERFECT. The perfect characters, the perfect story, the perfect romance. I read this book after having read an angst-filled and difficult trilogy, so this story was just what I needed to get myself back to rights. I loved The Proposition and The Proposal, so I had mixed feelings about Pesh; he seemed pushy and somewhat annoying in the previous book. But my opinion might have been tainted since I was invested in Emma and Aiden and didn't take kindly to anyone trying to mess up their relationship. Well, this book made me fall in love with Pesh and Megan. These two were perfect together. Megan was a firecracker and Pesh... well, quite frankly, Pesh was hot as fuck!! What a perfect creation. Pesh was a dream and an old-fashioned type hero that isn't common in today's contemporary romances. Plus, he's a total freak! The total package!
I was in a constant state of bliss the entire time that I read this story. Katie Ashley writes well lit characters who brighten up the page. Her pace is quick, and the dialogue is real and hilarious. A great read with lots of extras of characters we've grown to love. Read it if you need a good escape; you'll love it!

This novel features Aidan Fitzgerald's niece, Megan McKenzie, and Dr. Pesh Nadeen, who wooed Emma in The Proposal. Megan and Pesh have been asked to be Aidan and Emma's son's god parents. Aidan thinks that Pesh would be a good match for Megan. She's a little wild and has never been with a man who treated her well. Everyone loves Pesh and think he deserves to be happy. Pesh and Megan meet at the christening and really hit it off. The big problem is that Pesh wants to settle down and Megan just wants a no commitment deal. It turns out that Megan will be doing her nursing practical experience in emergency room where Pesh works. Pesh decides to try to slowly get Megan to see that they belong together. Megan cannot believe how sweet, stable and passionate Pesh is even though she doesn't think she's ready for marriage. Megan loves how Pesh is with her son. This is a great story. It's also fun to see the other characters we met in the earlier books in this entry. One thing I really like about this series is that the relationships solve by mid-book so you get to see a lot more about where it goes than you do in some romances. I loved this story.
