I'm a little bit conflicted on this review because the concept of this book is simple: don't talk to the police. But at the same time it's a little more complicated than 'never speak around police officers.' There are times you are obligated to answer certain questions and there's also a certain way you should inform the police you don't want to talk to them.

James Duane covers a lot of these topics in this book. He gives examples of previous cases to support his advice and for the most part, it's actually really good advice.

But after reading the whole book, I'm still wondering why this needed to be 154 pages? This easily could have contained all of the same information and have been reduced down to maybe 80-100 pages. Not to mention, a lot of the content in this book is covered in his lecture, which anyone can find on YouTube.

It wasn't that this book was bad or that it wasn't worth reading, it was just so excruciatingly repetitive at times that I was getting frustrated.

However, if you don't know what it is you're supposed to say when you encounter the police, or you don't know why you shouldn't volunteer information or answer most questions when talking to the police, this book can be very informative and eye-opening.
