I think this is one of the more interesting coupling in the series.

Grayson's a tragic, moody character and Lori is so... sharply effervescent, I guess.

I'm a sucker for these cold and distant characters with a softer side (add a touch of grumpy too, that always rounds things out haha).

It started off well. Opposites attract and all that, she's all bubbly and talkative, he barely answers with grunts and is a grouch. Then after a couple of weeks, they just decide they're madly in love, have lots of sex, and there's pretty much no conflict for the rest of the book. I just wasn't feeling it.

Totally adorable. I was a bit nervous that Grayson was too surly and even mean, but it all worked out in the end. I really enjoyed this.

I’ve been a bit nervous to read Lori “Naughty” Sullivan’s story, Always On My Mind, the 8th book in Bella Andre’s Sullivan series. For some reason, Lori’s nickname, Naughty, was a bit off-putting to me. But as I’ve been reading the Sullivan series, I’ve really fallen in love with Lori, and oh my gosh, I really loved Always on My Mind.

At the start of the novel, Lori has been dealt some devastating news, learning that her boyfriend is cheater. She desperately needs a change to work through everything, and on a whim, ends up in this small farming town in California. Lori is a world-renown dancer and choreographer so this small town is quite a change for her. While I wouldn’t call Lori "Naughty," but I would call her impulsive. Which is how she ends up being a new farm hand on Grayson’s farm. And okay, that is a bit out there, but seriously, I do not care.

I can’t tell you enough how much I just loved Lori. She is impulsive, but in the best way. And Lori is so kind, and a hard worker, and not afraid to get her hands dirty. While Lori and Grayson don’t have a good start, it’s easy to understand how they each are quite impressed with the other.

Grayson took some warming up to. He is one surly guy, but he is also a nice guy. It is understandable why he wants to keep everyone at a distance, but I did wish he wouldn’t lash out at Lori. I mean, he was never cruel, but he did say some unkind things. Grayson does apologize though, and Lori is so very forgiving.

It was pretty wonderful to see both Lori and Grayson help the other work through their problems. And fall in love. Because, seriously, these guys are meant to be. Yes, I just said meant to be (a bit sappy for me), but I'm going with it.

Always On My Mind was such a wonderful conclusion to the San Francisco Sullivan series. And I just loved the ending. Talk about sweet and adorable and just wonderful. Thank goodness Bella Andre has a lot more Sullivan cousins to write stories about, because I simply cannot get enough. This review was originally posted on Quinn's Book Nook

I was first introduced to the Sullivan family when Bella Andre was touring with Novel Publicity. Since then I have had the chance to read all the seven books prior to this one in the series. I won’t say that they were all outstanding and equally good. While a couple of them stood out, for me, in the series, remaining were all entertaining reads.

‘Always on My Mind’, eighth book in the Sullivan family saga, focuses on Lori, the Naughty Sullivan. She had been in a not so healthy relationship before. But then she met Grayson Tyler. Grayson has his past and baggage which had practically forced him to give up his fast paced life in New York and settle in the country side. We all know that Lori isn’t the kind of girl who is scared to speak the truth and is known for stirring up trouble. So when the course of the ‘naughty girl’ and the ‘damaged man’ collides, there is little wonder that tempers fly and chemistry sizzles through the pages.

Having had some glimpses of Lori in the previous books, I had picked up this book with certain expectations about her character. I was sadly disappointed as the Lori in this story is so very different from the Lori we have previously seen. But then I guess people do make a complete fool of themselves when they are in love. Grayson is a hard man to crack. He is dealing with a lot of grief over his wife’s death and he doesn’t make it any easier for anyone to reach out to him. At some points he was so annoying that I just wanted to smack him on the head. But in the end, they do turn out to be a perfect match for each other.

This is one of those books in the series that I would classify as ‘entertaining read’ as the characters didn’t really manage to create that pull for me. But being a Bella Andre Novel, one can always count on to see some good language and great narration. She has a certain consistency in her style of writing that I have come to admire.

Dropped at 158pgs.

Why You Might Bump This Down On Your TBR: The love story was unbelievable. It needed a few more events and behaviors to make sense of a falling in love progression. I didn't care enough about them, their relationship, or the "plot" (was there a plot?) to read it to the end.

Why You Might Bump This Up On Your TBR: I really enjoyed the dual-POV and how the writing supported the title; they were always on each other's minds! I thought this was clever. I also think that if you're looking to read about two people with intense and immediate sexual tension, this book is right for you. Their personalities were mildly enjoyable (the grumpy loner and the impulsive but genuine one).

The Sullivans are a lot smuttier than any romance I've read before. I read all eight before judging... just to be sure I had all the facts.
