So engaging and embracing of the many cultures of the Jewish diaspora. I really appreciated the spare and efficient design of the recipes. I anticipate cooking from it a lot!

I had to return this to the library but I now see that I need to own a copy of this book! This author is a soul sister. I feel like our ancestors could have been friends and we carry something similar inside of us which often makes itself present in the kitchen. I thought this was the first time I was reading her work but realized later on that one of my most prized gifts from my dad is her little book of Jewish feasts which I've taken with me to every home I've lived in and referred back to time and time again like kvetching with an old friend. I just love this author and her books so so much.
