Malta and Reyn reach Kelsingra, where they hope a dragon will heal their son. Sintara is attacked on her way to Kelsingra, where she is nursed back to health after Thymara is able to unlock the mysteries of the Silver well. Then the dragons go to Chalced to avenge themselves upon the Duke, who has been eager for dragon parts. We finally get a battle with dragons! They defeat the Duke and also save Chassim and Selden, who were his prisoners. Chassim makes a deal with the dragons and becomes the ruler of Chalced. Hest meets a bad but deserved end. We get a bit more of Althea, Brashen, and Paragon at the end of the book. Overall, a great series but I'm ready to get back to Buck and see how Fitz and the Fool are doing.Spoiler
