This was an extremely interesting book. A disease that paralyzes the afflicted and tech created to allow them to live their lives is such a cool concept. The murder mystery aspect was also a really cool way to go through the book with a robot/sci-fi twist. This is only 4 stars for me because it didn’t have nearly as much of the laugh out loud humor that I love from scalzi, but it was still really good. I’m going to read the sequel on the history of Hadens for sure.

Although the premise was interesting, I found it too predictable and wrapped up way too easily. 2.5 stars, but I'm rounding up to 3, because, why not!

This is a quick, engaging police procedural mystery set in the near future when a patient with a plague-caused lock-in syndrome investigates a series of crimes from within his android avatar. It's an interesting premise and Scalzi explores it well as he always does, and it was a perfect read for a long international flight. Like a lot of his books I wish there was more of this world to explore and I'm excited to see there's a book 2. Fun fusion of genres and I recommend it!

Great book when it comes to disability awareness. Quick dialogue and a great premise. The payoff at the end of the whodonit makes all the slow bits worth it.
