overall, i enjoyed this so much! my only critique is that the ending seemed very abrupt. i just wanted more from the issue and solution of the story (not the romance). but i believe this is my first time reading from this author and iā€™m excited to check out other books!

I needed a pick-me-up, and this book delivered. I loved the banter, not only between the couple, but between them and the side characters. I also loved the focus on the importance of female friendships šŸ’ž

I couldn't put this down! I saw one or two of the twists coming (at least a little), and not having the HEA until the very last second was a little weird. It felt like it could use an epilogue to really get closure instead of feeling rushed. But overall I loved it and I'll definitely be reading the next one in the series ASAP. The audiobook narrator was great as well!

I loved this book as much as I hate the cover... I usually don't like book covers with "real people" on them, but this one is specially ugly.

I quite enjoyed this story. I really liked Naledi, her strength, determination and her will to pursue her dreams and carrer. The romance between Naledi and Thabiso is very real and interesting (and so very hot!). My favorite thing about this story (besides Naledi being able to find where she truly feels like home) is the fact that she does not give up on herself and her dreams to stay besides Thabiso. Although she loves him and her new found family and home, she keeps her dreams to get back to New York and follows her career. Because, God knows, we have enough books and movies where women just give up on everything to stay with a man... So this story is different and very much welcome.
