Rex and Chloe were everything and more. These two had so much in common nd that made them even more adorable. They met in the strangest way but in a good way, lol. It was the weirdest way of two people meeting but a friendship grew from that weird encounter that then grew into more but nothing was rushed. They both had past with family issues that they never tainted their relationship with. So when secrets were revealed secondary characters were shocked and caught in the middle but it only made his story more adorable. Yes it was emotional and at times very angry and frustrating in Rex case but that didn’t define them and I loved it. Ethan and Olivia were very much involved and it was the best especially Ethan’s and Rex friendship and also Olivia’s friendship with Rex. This group was very nice to read and they had each other’s back in everything once the dust was clear. Can’t wait to read Owen’s story.

Falling for You by Jennifer Van Wyk is a heart warming romantic comedy with very down to earth / real characters who are extremely quirky and say some of the most ridiculously funny lines.  Jennifer Van Wyk is one witty writer.

I love how Chloe and Rex built a friendship / relationship before becoming intimate.  I love watching them fall in love.  I love Rex's cockiness (I'm a m!?@%r f?!@#ing catch).  I love Chloe's ability to laugh at herself.  I love how Papa Paul is referred to as a silver fox.

But...I found the story picked up a little too fast once Chloe and Rex crossed the line. And that's all I can really say without giving too many spoilers...

Therefore, let me end by saying that if you like a sweet romantic comedy, this is for you.  You can read it as a standalone.  I did and ended up adding Gone For You (Book 1 in the All For You Series) to my TBR shelf because I am more than intrigued.  I have a sneaky suspicions that book is more my style......

Jennifer Van Wyck has a way of writing that sucks the reader in and does not let go and with this book she has stepped up her game even more. I absolutely love Rex and Chloe. The sweet nerdy boy and the independent to a fault heroine make the perfect match. From the banter back and forth to the happiness they both find, this was a masterpiece. The supporting characters were fabulous and I cannot wait for Owen's story!!

Eeeeeppppp. So i truly loved this one. I would have probably devoured it in one evening if i had had more time to read. But nonetheless this was so good and a great follow up from Gone for you. The author brings back some of my favorites, well actually all my favorites from that book. Bahaha don't judge me but i love them all. I loved Rex when i first met him in Gone for you and knew that i just couldn't wait to see who was going to knock him on his butt so to speak. But Chloe had so much story to her and how her life was before and everything she'd been through. I felt for her a bit because i have been in her shoes a bit when it came to some of her experiences. So those kinda hit at home. It was such a beautifully written book. Rex was so swoonworthy. Ugfh. Like couldnt get enough of the nerdiness at all. I really enjoyed it and i hope people grab this book and enjoy it as much as i did!

Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

I didn’t have the pleasure of reading the other book in the All for You series, but you can bet, after reading Falling for You by Jennifer Van Wyk, I will definitely add Gone for You to my Kindle library. Why, you might ask? Well, here goes…

Falling for You, the second book in this series, is a story about finding love and family in the midst of loss. The blurb suggests it’s a “best-friend’s brother falls in love with little sister” story, but, in the traditional sense of that trope, this isn’t the case. Instead, this story is one of finding your soulmate and letting go to find love.

Rex and Chloe are two individuals, content with living life on their own terms. Those terms include living a singleton life forever. Neither Rex or Chloe believe they will find “the one.” Then, one day, as Chloe sits in the bar where Rex works for his best friend (part-time), he spies her, and life changes. For both of them. From the first meeting, these two are destined for each other. However, Chloe’s identity could undo them. Or will it?

From the start, this couple is everything good about romance. They are witty, intelligent, and successful adults who simply have never found “the right one” until they find each other. Rex is seemingly the player, and he is…until Chloe. Chloe is struggling with life in the wake of her mother’s death; however, she is doing it well. Adding Rex into her life simply adds more layers and depth, which is also the case with Rex’s life. Together, they are sweet and funny and incredibly sexy. They are definitely steamy on the page. I think what I loved most about them is their ease. Trust me, I love angsty, heart-rending romance. It’s my favorite to be honest. Except that a heart can only take so much angst and alpha-holes before it needs couples that have enough chemistry on the page to keep you engaged in their story even when they have an ease about their relationship. And that’s the genius of this book. There isn’t a lot of turmoil between Rex and Chloe. Instead, the angst and turmoil comes from outside forces. Even then, it isn’t overwhelming that you stop reading because the story gets difficult to read. Instead, Rex and Chloe together sweeten the story to help the bitter go down. They are my favorite part of Falling for You.

Lastly, Jennifer Van Wyk’s story of finding family in the midst of loss is heady. It reminds us that we define family. Our biological family doesn’t need to stand in for us if we find an abiding love and support from people who genuinely care for us. I don’t want to share too much about this part of the story because I think it’s the meat of this book (beyond Rex and Chloe’s relationship). So…read this book to understand the significance of this part of the story.

If you love sweet couples who genuinely care and trust in each other, you will love Falling for You by Jennifer Van Wyk. She writes stories that allow you to breathe and fall in love with the characters as you read them fall in love on the page.

Falling for You is the second book in the All For You series by the talented Jennifer Van Wyk. Jennifer is one of the best small town romance authors out there. She writes what she knows, family, friendships, loyalty, love. We met both Rex and Chloe in Gone for You, but this can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading Gone for You if you haven't because it's awesome! Rex is nerdy sexy with his glasses and his smarts. Chloe is comfortable with her body and who she is. Together they are perfection. Their banter is hilarious and their chemistry is off the charts. I couldn't decide who I loved more Rex or Chloe! She made Rex want to be a better man. Made him want more than a one night stand. Rex made Chloe want to finally find happiness. Gave her something to look forward to. I loved the connections, the easiness of their relationship. Jennifer always reminds me why I love romance. For the love. For the heat. For the fun. For the relationships. Overall, Falling for You made me laugh, cry, has just the right amount of angst and sexiness and left me wanting more.

This was my first book by Jennifer Van Wyck and it won't be my last! I really liked all of the characters and how I just wanted to read the whole book in one sitting. It was a bit of a slow burn romance and I'm always a huge fan!

Rex is this swoon-worthy closet nerd with a protective side and Chloe is a fierce, independent lead who I overall really liked spending time with.

I also liked the side plot story with Ethan, but I thought that played out a little too quickly and I wish it had been a bigger part of the story.

I have read all of JVW's books and love the way she does small town romance.

This book is no exception. It's an interesting twist on "brother's best friend" and it's interesting to be in the know when the characters aren't quite yet.

Chloe is the type of girl you want to hang out with! She's gorgeous both inside and outside. She's been through some stuff and is a bit closed off and guarded.

Rex is dreamy and broody. Computer geek by day, bartender by night. Best friend extraordinaire. But he's also been through stuff and he is a "one night stand" kind of guy for life!

Sparks fly in the bar one night when he's working, and he can't get Chloe out of his mind (& vice versa). Their love story is sweet and you will be rooting so hard for it work!

The intermingling of these two, Ethan, Liv and Papa Paul is charming and endearing and I want to go to the family dinners.

I'm hoping there's an Owen book coming soon as well!

Well done JVW! As always, I LOVE IT!!

This is my first read by Jennifer Van Wyk and the second book in the the All For You series but can be read as a standalone.

Rex and Chloe have lost their family members for two completely different reasons. Chloe losing her mother, her only known relative, to cancer and has the worst luck getting on her feet. While Rex has given up on his selfish family members and wants nothing to do with them. At first, Rex did creep me out. I thought he was very forward and wanted a little too much too fast. It felt insta-lovie on his end. Though I know he didn’t mean to come off that way, but he did. I do think he is sweet, caring and sexy and overall wants what’s best for Chloe. Though they had an instant connection with each other, they took the relationship slow by getting to know each other rather than jump right in to bed.

I love the connection that Rex and Chloe have. It is so raw and real you could literally feel it jump off the page. From the first chapter their stories draw you in and I was hooked and couldn’t stop reading this. This slow burn story was emotional, sweet, sexy, and funny. I never lost interest or got bored with it. I had to know how it was going to end. This book was a breath of fresh air and something I really needed as I have been reading a lot of fasted paced books. I can’t wait to read more by Jennifer Van Wyk especially the first book in this series that come after this book.

Solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ½ stars from me.

Thank you to Social Butterfly PR and Jennifer Van Wyk for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
