Powered through this book because I hate not finishing stories but GOD what a waste of time. Cliched writing, one dimensional characters, and I couldn’t connect with the main character at all. The “twist” at the very end I didn’t see coming, but other than that…blech.

Also this is totally personal preference, but I am not fond of stories told in first person POV.

This novel is a good weekend read. It has a good flow that kept me turning pages. This novel takes several twists and turns, so what happens in the first chapters is not a full giveaway of how things will go. I do like that the elemenr of friendship is the strongest part of the story.
I had trouble connecting to the characters. The vision of 2025 doesn't really match who the two main characters of it are portrayed to be. I think the overall message of the book is that one hour doesn't define us.

Wow what a magnificent story of love and friendship. The story was not at all how I thought it would be and I ended up sobbing the last few chapters. Grief has a way of blurring so much of what we cannot see in front of us - how much like moments and people we may take for granted. In the words of my bestie “this book just made me feel.”

Quick read. Woman is on track for her perfect life - the fiance, the job doing corporate law, the place in NYC. The night of her engagement she falls asleep and wakes up 5 years later in a different apartment with a different man. She knows it's not a dream, but a premonition.

She tries to enter back into her life and is able to do so for 4 1/2 years until she meets her best friend's new boyfriend - who ends up being the man she is with in the premonition.

In her premonition she feels extreme and deep fulfillment and love.
The book is the 6 month process from meeting Aaron until the premonition is fulfilled and her learning that none of it meant what she thought it meant when she first saw the premonition.

Spoiler...
Her best friend dies of ovarian cancer, she realizes she didn't marry for 5 years for a reason and breaks it off, she focuses on the career she loves, and the night with aaron is a one night thing after her best friend's funeral. It ends with her realizing what she felt in the premonition was deep grief, not love.
