I liked this book for the same reasons I disliked it. The main character was such a doormat and I couldn't understand why out of all his kids... Jed treated her like that especially when she took care of him the most. I was annoyed with the amount of times she did what he wanted of her. Yet I liked that because in the end it was all worth it to see her stand up for herself. She stood up for herself and decided to do what was right for herself and her daughter and I respect that. I liked this story due to the interactions between Mitch and her daughter Erin. It was cute and adorable. I feel the author didn't add as much sparks to this one as the first book. It was a good read overall.

This is the second book in this series. I enjoyed the chemistry between Skye and Mitch more than Lexi and Cruz.

Mitch left town shortly after Skye broke his heart, he is now back from war and battling some emotional damage as well as physical. I felt Mitch was a very angry character,it really hard to even like him at all until towards the end of the book.

Skye is a complex character, she has serious daddy issues. However all the daughters of Jed Titan all seem to want his approval so she fits the mold. Skye is basically a doormat for her father and when Mitch comes back she is also a door mat for him. She has a young daughter who is really sweet and honestly seems to have more brains than Skye and Mitch combined.

It was a really enjoyable book, complete with really angry complex characters.

The patriarch of the family just seems unrealistically mean.

I know Lip Service is the second book in the series, and I did read the other three already, but I still loved this story. Yes, I knew what would happen in the long run, but Skye and Mitch were a lot of fun to read.

Skye is the daughter who has always done what her father has wanted her to do. She was dating Mitch years ago, they were going to get married, but Skye's father told her to marry someone else so she did. She broke up with Mitch and hasn't seen him since. She loved him, she truly did, but her father...well her father is not a good person. He does what he wants and doesn't care about anyone else even his daughters. So do what he says or he will get nasty, so she does what he says. She always worried about what he would do if she didn't.

Mitch doesn't really know why Skye broke their engagement. Yes, her father wanted her to marry someone else, but he thought they were in love. He doesn't understand how she could do something like that, and now here he is back at home and everything has changed. He doesn't have part of his one leg, his family ranch is not the same as it used to be, there are just so many changes and he doesn't deal with them well.

Through it all there is still that tension between the two of them. The both obviously still love the other, but can they make it work this time? Or will Skye's father sabotage their happily ever after again? It was a fun read. I loved the two of them together. I loved that Mitch was so cranky and had to learn to accept that not everything can stay the same. He cannot get his leg back, he cannot go back in time, he has to move forward. Skye's daughter was also amazing as she is just so cute! I really enjoyed this story. Really I loved this whole series. Great reads all of them.

This second book was as good as the first. We learn more about one of the sisters and her true love. We also get to see more drama from the half-brother. Onto book #3.

Jed is NEVER going to be the father of the year my god what this man has done.
I wish his “son” would just go after him and leave the sisters along.

I loved the back and forth with Sky and Mitch, he was so hurt he was lashing out you can’t blame a guy but you can all at the same time. I loved the little drama’s that happened.
Erin, Sky’s daughter stole the show I loved how open she is. She brings out something in Mitch he buried deep, and I think she helped him heal just a little bit.

It will be interesting this next book, will we find out if they can fix what has been done or will they all have to start over.

I loved the narration, the girls voice to the women to the male voice it was seamless and I enjoyed!
