It's... Fine? Just didn't grab me. Seems you can divide Mistborn Era 2 into fans that "get it" and fans that don't. Guess I'm in group 2.

Fine enough but I wanted this to be better

I really like the original Mistborn trilogy and enjoyed the first one in the series but this book was a chore. I can’t identify why - it seems as competently written as the others - but I just couldn’t get into it. It’s possible that Sanderson is starting to sag under the weight of the intricate world-building he’s done.

I’ll pick up the next in hopes that it’ll be a return to form, but my enthusiasm has taken a hit.
