This is a powerful book about culture and the role of gender within cultures. This was not an easy read as it covered some disturbing scenes, but it will stay with me for some time.

I have been trying to find the words to adequately describe how much this book touched me, but there are no words adequate enough. When I say I want to read a book that touches me, fills me with emotion and provides a true human experience in fiction, this is the type of book that I’m talking about.
