This book has been on my to read (to find?) list since it came out.  I don't think I had access back then, and then somewhere along the way I got it into my head this would be a long, dense history.  Who knows how, maybe that milosevic bio I had to read in college.  Anyway it's short, and personal, and as moving as the stories I heard at the time from friends in exile.  I'll never forget a recording out the window of a belgrade apartment, just 7 minutes of bombs in the distance, and sometimes closer.  It's hard to be more eloquent than that, but this diary is close.
