Funny and twisty, and so so well-paced and well-written! We follow the story from a perspective of a sick mind who more often than I’m comfortable to admit, makes disturbingly accurate comments about social media, relationships, human wants and needs, life in general. He is psychotic, and paranoid, violent but also hilarious and, if seen through, for example, Becks’s eyes, very much resembling of a lot of male love interests from a lot of romance novels (well, maybe not towards the end). Did I mention how disturbing it is? I laughed more than I ever laughed reading a book (which what is wrong with me?) and the only bad thing about this whole experience is that I had watched the show first. I don’t need season three, I need book three, and to devour the rest of the series, and maybe accept that I enjoy reading from creeps’ POVs a little too much. Some might say disturbingly much.

You was just OK. I'm not a fan of how it was written, and it lacked tension in many parts. I definitely see how it would be more appealing on screen.

I didn’t watch the show, and I probably won’t watch the show. But for people who “ship” them or who roots for Joe, ya’ll have never been in a dangerous situation, relationship or otherwise, have you?

I watched the tv show before I read the book, which I usually avoid as it ruins the experience for me.
I read this book and pictured the casted Joe... And it was perfect. Truly perfect.
I love Penn and didn't think I could be creeped out by him, but he proved me wrong and I've never seen a better casted character for a book-to-movie.

This was the perfect amount of creepy and it was altered quite a bit from the show, which made for better reading, I think. It is so wonderfully awful to feel bad for the villain, when you know you should be afraid of them.

I loved this book so very much.
Absolutely recommend.

I absolutely *detest* second person narrative. But in this book, it worked. So thank you, Caroline Kepnes, for creating one exception to my rule.
