The romance here was enjoyable, but this book was too long and the pacing of the plot far too slow. A lot of elements don't really make any sense if you actually think about them. But I did appreciate the lack of a third-act breakup!

Delilah and Henry are working a case together to recover a rare stolen book. They are mistaken for a married couple and have to play the part to get close to their target. This was a hint of Indiana Jones but make it high-society with fancy galas and art auctions. I adored the MMC. Henry is a nerdy cinnamon roll, a librarian who specializes in rare books. Delilah is an ex-cop who now works to recover stolen artifacts. This was a fun action plot and these two had good chemistry. It really was a great balance of mystery and romance.
