Assassin's Mark ended too soon. I feel like everything is too short. Too rushed. I do like the chemistry between Levi and Abby. They sizzle together.

The story is pretty short. Miss Sheridan puts in the necessary punches on the story. I am glad it works. Again what I feel is everything is too short. I needed more.
Since this is a duet, hopefully the story will be more on the second book.

You have a virgin FMC who was sheltered and raised to be the perfect person for her power driven father. Who is then kidnapped and falls in love with her badass handsome captor any girls dreams catch. It ends on a good note obviously but it didn't really give me a reason to continue the story. I mean they got back together after a year, had great sex, and on the road to start a "normal" relationship. Do I really want to read about how hard a relationship with an assassin is? Will there be twist and turns and more kidnapping of our naive and sheltered FMC probably....

This is my first book from Ella Sheridan and I really enjoyed it! The story pulled me right in from the beginning. Abby and Levi’s story was steamy and compelling from the moment they met. I loved all the twists and turns this book had and it had me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t want to put it down.

I loved the duet narration from Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke. The story is told from Abby’s point of view and Stella did and amazing job telling her story and capturing Abby’s emotions. Jason’s role was small but he did an amazing job with all the male characters in this book.

I would recommend this book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

As we dive into Assassin’s Mark, you are thrown into the world of revenge, passion, and raw emotions that a cold hearted man tries to avoid. We are thrusted back into this story right after the prequel book, and you see how Abby comes into play. The push and pull between Abby and Levi is telling. That they are fighting more than just being kidnapper and victim. Their chemistry is evident but Abby needs to fight it. But when things come to light, Abby’s eyes are opened. Not just to the situation but also the man that Levi is. Their pull evident, they cannot deny each other anymore. But the amazing thing is how this story all played out in the first place. There are some epic twists and turns that keep you on your toes and makes you begging to know more! I have to say, I have really enjoyed this series thus far and looking forward to more!

Audio received from Audibly Addicted for an honest audio review

Assassin's Mark was my first Ella Sheridan book, and I am now keen to read more of this series.

I am still unsure how I feel about Levi at this stage. Would it be too much for the man to apologise for the crap that he has put Abby through

And why oh why did Abby have to be a virgin on top of everything else? Just no, we're over that trope ok?

I did like the closeness of the Agozi brothers - and I hope that the other brothers find their HEA. I hope that what has happened in this book is leading where I think it is for one particular brother.

Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter brought this tale to life. There is something so smooth about Clarke's voice that I can't help but want to listen to more.

At times, and this is probably just a me thing, Hunter did come across as a lot younger than the character, but it wasn't all the time. This is most likely just my weird mind though!

I do look forward to listening to more of this author, and these narrators in the future.

This book was great and had so many twists and turns and true surprises through out!

Levi was a great character and you truly felt for him even though he was an assassin. He had so much guilt over what happened to his brother Remi and he needed to get to the bottom of why Derrick wanted him gone. Levi had an incredible loyalty to his brothers and then he became extremely protective over Abigail as well.

Abigail was so mad that she had been taken and needed to get out of Levi’s place but gradually she began to see press conferences and watch how Derrick was able to manipulate things which made her really think about her life. I loved watching Abigail see what had gone on and change her view on certain things.

The twists and turns in the book were awesome and there were times when I thought I had certain things figured out or how they were going to go and I would be close but not right on. I loved all of the mysteries and secrets.

The end was intense for sure and I wasn’t sure how everything was going to pan out but I was super happy!!

I can’t wait for the next book!

Strong likeable female lead? Check.

And that’s all there needs to be said. :)

description After finishing the short prequel (THE ASSASSIN) I was looking forward to diving right into this book. And I liked it....mostly. (lol) The writing was decent. It is a relatively fast read (under two hours) so the pace moves along quickly. The plot was intriguing. I loved the close bond all the brothers had. The sex was hot. There was no OW or OM drama. However, I wish we had gotten some confirmation on whether Levi slept with any other women during the separation. I don't *think* he did, but it is never outright said, and it always annoys me a little when we are left in the dark. (lol)

Both main characters were likable enough. I can't say I was overly enamored with Levi. I couldn't quite get passed what he did and how he treated Abby at the beginning. For "ME" it was a bit too much. He took it a bit too far, and I found it hard to warm up to him after that. He got better as the book went on, but it would have been nice for him to at least frigging apologize because Let's be honest here
Spoiler drugging someone then posing them naked and in comprimising positions and taking photos of them, then sending them to a third party IS sexual assult.
Abby I liked, mostly. I wish she hadn't been a virgin because I am f-cking OVER virgins at this point, but it seems there is no escaping them. (lol) I also would have liked her more had she held out before falling back into bed with Levi. It made her a little of a doormat in my opinion. Overall, though she wasn't a bad heroine. Last, it all wraps up on a happy for now cliffhanger. I enjoyed it enough that I will continue on to book two.
