Perhaps it's because I picked up Six of Crows a couple days after I reached about 75% of the way through Gentleman's Guide, but I had a lack of motivation to continue reading more. Past 75% it's almost upsettingly easy to determine how the book will end. The trio will arrive on the island, Helena will get a redemption, and everyone lives in a happily ever after specifically tailored for their lives. I wish there was more of a negative outcome to the adventures than there was.
Overall, I enjoyed it. It won't be forever imprinted on my mind like some of my favorites, but I'm glad I read it.
