This memoir was so powerful. I spent the majority of the book ugly crying. It opened my eyes. Due to the current situation going on in Palestine, I went searching and found this book. I had no idea the horrors they are going through and have been going through for 75 years. Please pick up this book. It is so powerful and moving.

If you need help in understanding the Free Palestine movement, this is the book you need to read. It goes in-depth of personal experiences of Ahed and her whole family and town living under apartheid occupation. It is horrifying what they have gone through but important to truly learn what the occupation is doing to Palestinians just for existing.

Dena Takruri is a journalist I have admired for a long time. Writing in this book is of quality. Dena clearly knew how to highlight Ahed's own voice.

This review is short because I think it would be better to read the book yourself rather than just rely on what others are saying, if it is worth reading. It is.
