I thought the book was pretty good. At times it was hard to follow along, and I was quite disappointed in the what happens towards the end of the book but other than that it's a pretty great book!

I disliked it. I found it slow and I am quite confused about Henry. Is he Tess' sibling? Did they commit the act of incest?

Well done, Mrs. Caletti, well done. I also find myself loving Henry Lark. Very enjoyable read. And the library, librarians and library scenes? Priceless.

Loved all the library/librarian references!
"If you can't solve your problem in a library, good luck to you."
"A library is a physical equivalent of a sigh. It's the silence, sure, but it's also the certainty of all those books, the way they stand side by side with their still, calm conviction. It's the reassurance of knowledge in the face of confusion."
"Being a librarian is a stressful job," Larry says.
It doesn't look stressful. ...
"But most everyone else has some problem that you're supposed to cure with--"
"Information."
"And I believe in information--" Larry makes his voice sound like a preacher's. "Information solves ninety-nine percent of the world's problems."
"I didn't know librarians could be such smart-asses either."
"You'd have thought that kid would have ended up in prison, but he's in library science too."
I smile. Not just at bad clowns, but at "library science." I like that name. It makes a library sound as vast and mysterious as the universe or ocean, requiring specific study to be understood.
"Never underestimate a determined librarian," Henry says.
"Petitions! Power to the People!" Larry says, and raises a fist in the air.

This book was so much better than I expected it would be, even though it took me almost two months to finish it. I loved all of the characters, besides Elijah and Millicent. I would definitely recommend this book if you're looking for a cute contemporary!
I will have a full review up on my blog soon.

I honestly like any book that says, "Enter (so and so)..." in the synopsis.
The storyline is pretty good. I really liked all the emphasis on botany. But I found Henry to be a lovable character, as was Tessa. Overall, it was a good story, and was nice for a quick summer read, especially for those who respect escapism. This is ironic because I read it in the dead of winter. To be honest, I don't really have much to say about this book, probably because I didn't love it.
But I did like it. ;)
