This book was a phenomenal introduction to the series. Seven does a wonderful job of keeping you on your toes wondering what’s going to happen next. The world-building was excellent. The character development that is already happening is amazing as well. Though there is very minimal spice in book 1, the one scene there is, is excellent. I love a bully romance, I love a slow-burn, and both of these are done so well in this book. I can’t wait to see where Seven takes Riley and Riot next.

This book was truly a work of art. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. The characters and worlds drew me in to the point I could picture everything I was reading. I cannot wait to see what the rest of this series will bring. I am definitely going to be along for the ride.

I was given this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I wasn't ready for this book to be what it was, in any capacity.
I went in knowing that it's the start of a fantasy series and let me tell you, I haven't been this blown away by a debut novel, ever.
Seven is phenomenal. She does a fantastic job at world building and giving this book a mysterious plot at a great pace all while building the world around it and not info dumping it all.
The species, the character, the world, the magic, everything is so diverse that you just get sucked in.
The characters are great and aside from MC POV, you'll always left guessing what's happening with others and going on with the other characters.
Did I mention the magic? I'm obsessed. I want a Netflix show now so I can watch, what i have read.

Now to spend my life crying in a ball till the next books comes out because I'm not sure what I can read that will follow that well.

Let me just say, I was not prepared for the ride this took me on. I fell in love with this book from line one. The character building, the world building, and the growth throughout this book make it beyond enjoyable. This is one book I would willingly sell my kidney to read for the first time again. I cannot wait for the next book

* first, let me start by saying that if you start this book you’re gonna fall in love with the characters. Seven put the time into it to make sure we have an understanding of what makes the characters tick on top of allowing enough room that you can make your own decision on how to feel about them and their views. Be ready for chapters that pull at your heart but have you ready to devour more! Watching Riley go through her obstacles (so far) has been amazing and definitely leaves you rooting for her!
* World building: OMG!!! I’m always a fan of fantasy worlds, especially when ours isn’t the greatest. I’m so ready to be able to read the next books to learn more about this world that Seven has created. From the different species to the layout I love it!
