If you are in the mood for a strong, sweet, bad arse former Navy SEAL then this is the story for you. This book has it all and then some. The witty banter and innuendos had me laughing out loud several times and highlighting like mad. Jordan is not in the best place when he meets his match, but she has a way of soothe him inside and out. April is a jack of many trades and I loved that about her. She is so awesome and I fell pretty hard for her too. Both of these characters are swoon worthy and something special.

I highly recommend this stand alone story. It is something completely different that the author's previous series and that book is an amazing testament to the storytelling ability of Ms. Canterbary. This is a great foray into her writing and I encourage everyone to check it out. You will not be sorry, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

This book started off really well and it was great until Jordan realized that something was not right about April. After that it was quite a disappointment.. Can't say much without spoiling, but I'd liked to see her working harder to regain his trust. The story was too short and the ending rather anticlimatic.

What a story! I loved the fact that is is from Jordan's POV throughout and his inner monologue is to die for! I would say that this book is Walsh adjacent, it's has some characters from the Walsh series and we met Jordan in the Cornerstone (Walsh 4). There is a plot twist that is exciting and some surprises that if you love Walshes you will love this! This is a fresh new story and Kate doesn't disappoint in the least!

LOVED IT SO MUCH!

I couldn't put it down, it was so fun, sweet and steamy, as usual with Ms. Canterbary's books. The connection between the characters was almost instantaneous and this is something that this author always does in an organic and beautiful way.

I think this is one of those books that I will read more than once

Wasn't enjoying the narration. Might come back to it another time.

I didn't enjoy this story as I usually do because the characters didn't feel as complex or layered as hers usually do.
This is a story of a SEAL veteran turned security company CEO and an acupuncturist/cake decorator.
Ir is all written from Jordan's first person point of view, so there are some surprises as you learn as he does, but it didn't have the emotional tension or angst of her usual stories.
