With this third book, the trilogy about Blackthorn & Grim comes to its conclusion. And it does so excellently.

In this third 'riddle' Blackthorn and Grim have to solve they are separated physically and get to spend barely any time together. This makes it much more difficult to compare notes and to bring the puzzle together.

When they do so in the end they have also learned more about themselves, who they are and who they want to be an what each other means to them.

There is nothing like some good story telling.
I loved this series. Devastated to find out that the publishing company didn't agree to more books.
This stories are beautifully woven and while I generally knew how things where going to play out (because I've trained myself how to predict how stories play out from clues given to us however vague), it was still unpredictable enough to keep me invested. Blackthorn and Grim as characters are complex and fantastic. Each point of view so distinct. Blackthorn, descript and bitter at times. Calculating and as a wise woman would see things. Grim, blunt and to the point. The start of the series he and everyone else sees him as simple and not very clever. But as the books continue the more he settles into himself and becomes more. Grim development was my favorite.
These two together are prefect. They are friends. And just having that without the pretense of them ever being more then just friends is never pushed.
I truly wish that there was more. T While everything wraps up pretty neatly, there is always room for more. The author left it open enough. Ahhh.
Please read these. I need other to feel the feels with me (and maybe write to the publishers and ask for more haha)
