Unfortunately, this series appears to be evolving into religious propaganda hidden behind a mystery story. It's also becoming a stretch to label this as a "cozy mystery" due the violence, torture, and death descriptions becoming more prominent within books #4 and #5.

These stories are cute, quick reads. The way the author used religion as a way to look down upon the island residents was really off-putting. And the phrase “good people of the island” just felt..... vaguely racist (perhaps classist) in the context of the story.
