I really enjoyed this collection. I often struggle with pop culture references in books as sometimes it is cringey but this didn’t feel cringey at all. Media is how we identify ourselves from an early age, whether it is a TV show, music, or books, and Blackish really focuses on that.

I would love to hear these poems live one day.

Absolute stunning debut work from one of the best performing poets in London. It’s intimate, it aches, it punches through the page.

Keep an eye on Tyrone - we’re just at his origin story in this saga.
