4.5 out of 5 Stars: I loved the friends to lovers trope, the finding the way back to your bliss and passion. I loved the flashbacks to the their first trips especially Victoria made me home sick (sad they did the general chapters instead of Monroe's Book store in Victoria. Come on the oldest book store would've been more magical), wishing Paris would've come to truth. I am thankful to Emily Henry for allowing me to travel through her books when it's been harder to me lately.

The lack of communication did bother me for these characters but I still fell in love with their friendship sticking to their need to go out of their normal comfort zones. I would reread but third acts as always drive me crazy.

Great chemistry between Alex and poppy, good character development, I liked the alternating time lines.
I was kind of disappointed at the reveal of what happened in Croatia…after the buildup, it just seemed anticlimactic.
Other than that, I really loved the book

LOVED!! This book made me feel good; actually the book itself is "all buttery and warm and sweet and perfect." I did NOT want it to end. I had read where it kinda went on and on and I was kinda hoping it did...like one of your favorite songs that you can sing without even thinking about the lyrics. I probably could've read about their vacations and everyday life as a daily journal entry that was to be continued...

Why did I wait so long to read this?! The EXACT feelings that Emily Henry writes about amongst her characters is the same ones I experience when on vacations or day trips to some place other than home. It's all sparkly and glittery and full of magic and it's the people, the atmosphere that makes it all so much more than if you lived in it daily. Like it's appreciated at a fever pitch because you know it's fleeting and special.

“For me, traveling is about wandering, meeting people you don’t expect, doing things you’ve never done.”

“It’s the very fact that it’s finite that makes traveling special. You could move to any one of those destinations you loved in small doses, and it wouldn’t be the spellbinding, life-altering seven days you spent there as a guest, letting a place into your heart fully, letting it change you.”

My god. I thought there could not be a book that topped Beach Read, but I think PWMOV did just that. I don’t know how people don’t like this book because I cried, laughed, held this book in a tight hug and want to carry it around in my bag and tell people, “PLEASE read this book. It’s so funny and warmly sad and it might change you forever.” Emily Henry proves once again why she’s my favorite author.
