I enjoyed his poems very much but I didn't really like his plays and essays.

So I actually haven't read everything by Poe. However, I've read the majority of his works and love everything he has written. The Raven is one of my favorite poems by Poe. The poem is about overcoming grief and being able to function in society. Everything he writes has purpose and meaning and he executes everything in a beautifully tragic way!

The word master has a different pace than the rest of us and that is why I enjoyed these poems. Mr. Poe made sure you grasp every word he said, which I obeyed.

Beautiful, haunting stories. "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The Mask of the Red Death", "The Telltale heart", and "The Cask of Amontillado" are quite creepy and unforgettable. "Murders in the Rue Morgue" is a rather surprising early example of detective stories.
