I loved the investigation in this one, the big revelation at the end got me all spooked. I also loved how the relationship between Nell and Will got deeper but they're still just friends.

However, I do see some upcoming issues regarding their relationship and
Spoilerthey probably won't get together until the 6th book, unfortunately.
I don't like when an author prolongs romance on purpose to create more conflict.

A little too many attempted rape scenes and such for me, which is a pity because otherwise it was pretty good.

Pretty good but not as good as the first one. These aren't available at my local libraries, so I'll be buying the other books in the series about once a month until I'm finished.

This might have been heavier on character development than actual mystery but since I enjoy spending time with both Nell and Will I didn't mind too much.

Murder in a Mill Town is lively, intriguing, and entertaining. P. B. Ryan weaves quite the story of things not being quite as they seem in book two. This book is a quick read that is a great follow up to the first book and leaves the reader wanting the next one.

I enjoyed this one even more than the first one; now that Nell has been established as a sort-of detective, it was easier to digest her involvement with the murder case, even if the exact reasons for it as outlined in the first chapter were a bit of a stretch. I enjoyed the development of her and Will's relationship, and am looking forward to reading the next!
