My first Agatha Christie which kept me guessing until the very end! I did know one spoiler or hint before reading this which was that
Spoilerone of the victims was indeed the murderer as they had pretended to be killed off and then picked off the rest one by one
. This left me with a few ideas of who the culprit could be, but I still didn't get it so well done Miss Christie! I will say that the writing style lacks description (it is quite removed, not atmospheric, as the focus is kept on the plot and pace), which meant that I did not visualise each individual character clearly so I confused them with each other at times.

This was such a spooky mystery that I had to read the ending by chapter four. Even then, the atmosphere was so tense and claustrophic - incredible. Phenomenal read. I read the newer edition without the n word in it, so didn't comment across that (much smoother read).

the language in the book caught me off guard at first.. you can obviously tell it was written a while ago, but when you get past that it's truly a great fast-read mystery novel. the first agathie christie i've read and i really enjoyed her way of writing characters, she gives them depth fairly quickly which gets you more invested in the story. the reveal wasn't shocking to me but it was very well thought out. wouldn't give it more than 4 stars though since its nothing mind-blowing, but still a very fun read.
