Cuando empecé el libro no podía parar de leerlo y me lo leí de un día para otro. Me enganchó de la primera página a la última porque necesitaba saber el causante de todo y, aunque dudaba fuertemente entre dos personas en concreto, no fueron ninguna de ellas. Este es el primer libro que me leo de la autora y me ha volado la cabeza.

Great entry into mystery and the queen of mystery herself Agatha Christie. Classic mystery and one of Christie's most well-known for good reason. The poem guides the story to who will die next in a countdown deserted island series of deaths. If you're one of those people who don't read epilogues this is the time to actually read it. Not even the edits and title change could erase the horrible racism of the time

You think that a book that Christie approached almost as a dare to herself would end up either a successful but cold experiment or a failure, but instead it was sharpened to a knife-point.  The sense of the characters takes a little while to get going but once they're on the island it's perfectly clear that she has a full understanding of each of them, why they're there, and why they do what they do.  There's a reason everyone loves this one; there's a reason it holds a place of great esteem even though the classic detectives are nowhere to be seen and everyone has a reason to lie.  It's a marvel.
