I only have one question. Can anyone honestly say they know what all of these books were about?... Obviously besides sex and arguing.
Because I really can't. The only significant result of this series is mentioned in the last 10 pages and even that's pretty underwhelming.
But with all that said I liked this third book the most. I didn't have as much fun with it but it had the best "plot" and I was actually having a good time without being annoyed every three seconds.

My absolute favorite scene of this book was when drunk Madison was doing a tattoo on Bishop. Without a sketch, drunk, for the first time in her life... And she tattooed a swan on his neck with a crown and a bullet. Just like that. Oh and she added shadowing to it too. And it turned out gorgeous. When I read that I literally thought I would pee my pants. Hands down my favorite scene.

Okay so in this book we finally get quite a bit of action which was super nice because there wasn't time left for that many petty arguments, not that there weren't any because there were more than enough but I actually think those fights were relevant.
Also this book felt a little more not mature but mature?? I can't really put my finger on it but I found Madison and Bishop more bearable. Their relationship finally took a serious turn and they were more focused on the things that were happening around them than on their stupid issues.
I also think Bishop's rage at the beginning was valid and I liked the period when he was mad at Madison because she acted like a child and acted out of anger and her own insecurities.

Madison was okay in this book. As always she was annoying and always picking fights but I grew to tolerate her.
We got Bishop's pov and I really liked it. His chapters were exactly like I imagined and I appreciated them because I got to understand him more.

Nate, my favorite boy, was fucking annoying. He was giving me headaches to say the least.
We also got so much more of the other Kings and I really enjoyed that part.
Overall I'm just happy this whole book was more story oriented.

But with that said what the actual hell was that ending. I mean how disappointing. I was actually being into the whole fight at the end and then it was all a hallucination in Daemon's head. I mean...No.
Daemon stirred some trouble at the end and the ending from Tillie's pov intrigued me.

This series was such a frustrating journey for me but I also had so much fun, I laughed so much at the stupidity and silliness of it all. It also read so easily and even though the writing was shit I flew through all three books.
I would have to be mad to countinue with this series but who knows maybe I'll miss these psychotic characters and I'll want to read more.

Song: Familiar Taste of Poison by Halestorm

I finally had a chance to reread Tacet a Mortuis again.... yes again for the third time. The EKC series was my very first dark romance series and it'll always hold a nostalgic place in my heart.

So much has happened since The Silver Swan! Things were answered, new questions formed.... but damn that ending was intense! I can't say too much without giving away things for new readers, but I was definitely freaking out and trying to read faster. It always intrigues me reading a POV from someone who has schizophrenia. If you read it...you'll know what I'm referring to.

I like when a series is a continuation like this one. There isn't a happily ever after or a conclusion at the end of every book. The story keeps on going. The POV will change in the next two books to Nate & Tillie, but Bishop and Madison's story isn't done. Malum is my absolute favorite and I'm excited to read it again!

Again, the proof reader needs to go over this book. Lots of typos. Also, the chapters switch back and forth. It would be helpful to the reader if the chapter had a heading to tell you who is speaking.

I want to rant about this book so much. Omg how is this series so hyped? The characters drained me so much 😭 my eyes feel like they’re gonna fall out of my head at any given moment, since I’ve been rolling them non-stop.

This series just gets better and better, bring on Malum! I was so caught up in this book it's all I can think about. The writing as if it could, it gets even better. I don't think I have read a book like this before, it's very original. The pace is fast, the book is in depth and amazing. I love every single character, without them this series wouldn't work in a million years. there are so many characters and so many moving pieces that I don't know how she developed them so well, and kept them all so straight. Told in Bishop and Madison's pov along with a few others sprinkled throughout.
