There was a lot too this. It made for a fun and quick summer read. I didn’t have it all figured out early but I was usually ahead of the plot reveals and I was on track the entire time. It was still fun to read and work it out.. I liked the story and main characters but the journey could have been cut and cleaned up for a neater finish in the story. My one frustration is that the protagonist was supposed to be smart but kept ignore if her intuition and didn’t use her preset researching abilities very well at all, so I had to let that go to enjoy it. I would recommend print over audio as one main character’s voicing was done horribly and was completely annoying on the audio version.

Almost dnf this book but glad I stuck it out. The beginning was repetitive but I think it helped set up the ending so 🤷

This book. Infuriated me. But I couldn’t put it down, it’s a must read.

This book was entertaining but I hated the characters (which was probably the point)

Meh. It started to drag in the middle of I stopped even caring what happened to the main character, I just wanted it to end. Which it eventually did. Quite hurriedly in fact.

I’m giving it four stars because I wanted something not too heavy and it fit the bill. It definitely held my attention, but the MC was not very savvy, which was distracting, especially since she is supposed to be so smart. It was good in a Lifetime Movie sort of way. Not complicated, quite predictable, but fun anyway.
