3.5 rounded up. Just under 100 pages. A little too silly and romantic for me, but another great ending!

Love Kai!
I loved this book, well heck... the entire series.. the characters are just so lovable. Just time for the quarantine. Can’t wait for the next one!!

I wanted something short to try a new author, but this might have been too short and inconclusive.
In this short novella the author piles on rapid chase, danger and action scenes to bypass and fast track character introductions and rapport development. Unfortunately, that didn't work and as the result, all their interactions seemed forced, random or inappropriate for the situation.
And it left me as clueless about the true personalities of these chargers as I was before starting this book. All I learned about them were some minute biographical facts and situational motivations, all of which changed too rapidly to signify any deeper emotions or drivers.
Bottom line: I am unimpressed, but potentially willing to give this author's books another chance when I want some run of the mill urban fantasy.

This one was fine. I’m not a big novella reader, but I have a check list for the series so I figured why not. Anyway, it was cute. We get to go back (for me) and meet the woman from Odin’s eye that Kai had a fling with. It was fun.
