One of the greatest texts on rights ever written. Not bullshit.

After Coates's Between the World and Me, I now have a newfound appreciation for Dr. King's philosophy, because Jesus, the One True God, is not useless, but is the very foundation for all the right answers and reactions to all of society's problems. And in His way we find true, substantive hope, not fateful chaos; grace, not anger.

I wish it hadn't taken me 36 years of life to encounter and read this brilliant work. I am grateful to have found it now, when we are in a time of resistance, in the midst of a movement, and only at the beginning. This will be a book I revisit often, particularly Dr. King's "Letter From a Birmingham Jail."

Sitting in deep appreciation of this incredible man and his work.
