Wow I finally finished this series and the ending annoyed me so much.

This adult man just followed her around school in a school uniform pretending to be a high schooler for a day. And they really just got married...?? Like Shimana had no motivations except wanting romance and her literal whole being revolved around being with the landlord. She goes to college to be with him, she's willing to give everything up for him to go to school. Like wanting a romance and a happy ending and to get married is fine. But she literally had nothing else for herself.

I'm happy for Zen and the girl (I already forgot her name because she was literally just thrown in to give Zen a new love interest). I would've preferred a series about them tbh because they were cute. I don't even want to talk about Asahi and his crush/half sister. I think Asahi's plot line would've been interesting if it got more development, but it's so glossed over i don't get what the point was.

This series was just not good imo. Which is extremely disappointing because I've liked Takano's other books and this was just... yikes.

The series is over. This was a wild ride. If I had to guess where this series would end up from the first manga to the end I would have never guessed right. Even though they have cute moments I'm still not a huge fan of the main couple romance. The age gap is odd and things speed up so quickly for them by the last few volumes that it felt like it came out of no where. I still like the friendships and I adore Zen finally finding someone good and not just being treated horribly by Shimana. Over all a fun series that made me laugh out loud and made my heart hurt. Great time.

I should have known going into the manga that Shimana was always going to fall for the landlord. His name is in the fucking title, that should have been really obvious. But it wasn't.

I think I wouldn't have an issue with it if she was 16 and he was 18 or if she was 17 and he was 19. But it started out with her at 16 and him at 21 and I just spent the majority of it going,"stop it. Stop she's a minor, no don't kiss her the fuck?" Her having a crush on him was one thing but he shouldn't be reciprocating those feelings (or trying to), she's a child.

Anyways, the characters are all wonderful and weird and I love them all. Zen is a precious baby angel that should he protected at all costs.

Overall I thought this was a pretty good series. Shimana drove me crazy through most of this series and Taiga hitting on a high school girl was kinda creepy.

I read the whole series in only a few sittings, because it was so fun and lighthearted to read. This is a fast-paced series that is perfect if you're looking for some escapism. This manga requires a suspension of belief to get through, but that's part of what makes it ideal for taking yourself out of real life. I enjoyed reading it all the way through. The quality didn't dip at any point in the series and the characters all grow with the story. I'd recommend this for anyone looking to escape their life for a little bit.
