Super bummed about the ending. Really liked the majority of the stories in this series tjat Ive read so far including most of this one. But the ending to me isn't a HEA and sheds the club and its members in a horrible light. It cant be a HEA if you're still hiding who you are/who you love and your "brothers" arent accepting of it.

First off, this book surprised me totally, not what I expected from this author. Nash is lonely and not because he didn't have the brotherhood. Still, he doesn't have a significant other and can't expose his preference. He meets Cross, the one man he shouldn't want since he has so many ties to the club and could uncover the secret, but he has one of his own. Things hear up, and these two characters defy the rules anyway and risk their secrets for a thing.
This book is super steamy even though it is a m/m romance. This book is all about chasing what you love regardless of the barriers. Albeit a different read, it was no less interesting. The author didn't break from her classic writing style; granted, I think this book is less emotional. She kept her classic super-steamy style and got the point and challenges across; however, we didn't get much character development between conversations and steamy scenes. Nevertheless, I understood the book's point as chasing what you love regardless of the challenges, and I'm glad she made it a happy ever after.

This book is so good that I can almost forgive the author for turning Dex into a no-balls wimp. There were times I wanted to knock Cross over the head for continuing to seek out Nash, or knock Nash over the head for not telling the DAMC officers to go F themselves, but I still loved it.

Do opposites really attract? Nash and Cross meet at a bar, and the immediate attraction is palpable. But with Nash a member of the DAMC and Cross a police officer, this could never be more than a one night stand, right? I could not stop listening to this book for a couple of reasons. First, the story is just that good. These two macho, alpha men have great banter and chemistry is off the charts. But the problems they incur, even in today's society make their relationship that much more difficult. Next, the characters themselves are so real, it's like I know them. Nash could be that bad boy you know, the one you watch on stage and pine after as he sings. Cross is that good cop, the one you want to be your friend. Yet their secret sexuality makes them that much more real. You never really know someone. And lastly, the crossover of the characters, from the DAMC to the Blue Avengers. It's always fun to see people we know as stories develop, and how they handle situations that come up. Jeanne St James always writes a hot, passionate story, but always has a meaningful message that comes through. I love her writing and this one is near the top of my list!

Once again, St James knocks it out of the park with the pick of her narrators. The team of Aaron Shedlock and Teddy Hamilton just enhance her book. These two bring out the best in the characters. Shedlock is the gruff, yet sensitive Nash and Hamilton as Cross, the good and loyal cop. But together they are magic and bring the couple alive. Loved every minute of this book and can't wait to see more of them in the future stories.

So sad and disappointed

I have enjoyed the men in this series who are so dang loyal and loving of their women. But this one trashed all the love I was feeling for them. I felt so dang sad do Nash and cross. The men who should have had Nash’s back pretty much turned their back on his life because of who he loved. Sure he would be around and still in the MC but he wanted allowed to share his joy and happiness with anyone else. The men kept saying they didn’t care he was gay but you felt their homophobia coming off the pads and it killed me to read. There story didn’t feel complete. It just felt ruined

This book has been on my TBR for a long time. I decided that today was the day I was going to listen! I'm so glad I finally did it. This was my 2nd listen by Jeanne St James. I loved the interaction between Nash & Cross. Nash was so rough & grumpy. Cross was a bit softer but not by much. There was lots of back & forth between these too! I really enjoyed their story. Excellent narration by Aaron Shedlock & Teddy Hamilton.
