Very interesting to see the origin of Thanos and to know why he is the way he is. Let him be a lesson to all parents out there.... love your kids so they don't turn into sociopaths set out to destroy life as we know it!

Well that was dark as hell.
I should’ve seen the “Death Personified” twist coming but it got me.
I haven’t read any Thanos comics before so this was as good an origin as any, even if it hit all the stereotypical serial killer history beats along the way.
A thoroughly enjoyable page-turner.

I get the feeling they only wrote this because of The Guardians of the Galaxy film and they want people to know who Thanos is. This was kind of dry and not what I expected.

This is the beautifully illustrated genesis of Marvel's foremost mass murderer, Thanos the Mad Titan. It's kind of a love letter to the history of the Marvel Universe and a primer for those people who are watching the Marvel movies and wondering who the hell the purple guy is. Very sad and horrible, but in a way that people who enjoy the backstory of villians will enjoy and be familiar with. Bad guys are always more fascinating when you fathom their motivations, and this piece is no exception. Highly recommended.
