I was teetering between 4 and 5 stars and then I read the acknowledgments.

An important graphic novel about how deeply homophobia runs in our society, and how to listen to the fire inside you to overcome it and be yourself surrounded by those who love you. I wish I had this book as a scared, depressed, closeted teenager, and I’m so glad it exists now.

Honestly this was a stunning graphic novel. It was so raw and it literally did not shy away from any experience someone would face. It examined so many things such as fat shaming, homophobia, sexuality, self harm, race and masculinity. The art was stunning too! Highly recommend.
