I liked the ending. I’d have loved to get more background information to this story than what I was given.

The scariest thing about this is the casual racism and eugenics. The premise was promising and the set up was great. A mysterious house with a man much older than he seems with an interest in a picture of cannibalism. But then as soon as it starts to get uncomfortable the house is struck by lightning and burns down???. Also, I don't know if this just modern audiences being desensitised but canablism just on its own isn't that scary

Creepy and atmospheric. Second Lovecraft story I've read.

(I-is that, is that a Magnus Archives-)

No, but seriously. This was good. Or at least enjoyable.

I do not find cannibalism scary. I actually enjoy the metaphore behind it if it's done somewhat okay. That being said there wasn't any meaphore here if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, but don't be cannibals kids. It's not good for your health. Unless if you do it for religious reasons. Then consult with doctors beforehand and find the measures of cannibalism that won't damage you. Okay, bye!

I had to read this one twice - it was a bit different, but I really enjoyed it! Great book! Lovecraft never disappoints!
