Hmmm.. tussen de twee en drie sterren.
Ik vond hem eerst lijken op [b:The Shack|1812457|The Shack|William Paul Young|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1344270232s/1812457.jpg|2666268] (en dan een wat mindere versie). Aan het begin dacht ik : waarom heeft hij dit boek geschreven? Wat voegt het toe? Maar.. toen ik verder kwam zag ik dat hij wel echt andere onderwerpen aanstipt. Qua schrijfstijl en personages vond ik het richting cliché neigen.
Er stonden weer hele mooie metaforen en gelijkenissen in dit boek. Net als bijvoorbeeld de film 'Inside Out' van Pixar, maakt het verhaal processen zichtbaar in je hoofd en in contact met anderen die normaal lastig onder woorden te brengen zijn. Wat dat betreft wel een waardevol boek, maar qua schrijfstijl vond ik 'em wat minder.

I read this because I loved The Shack so much but it just didn't stack up. The premise was extra weird and it just seemed to be trying to emulate The Shack in the underlying message, the tropes that played out and the interactions.

Un libro muy hermoso que plantea un viaje por el interior del alma. Pone en contexto nuestra propia espiritualidad a travez del protagonista y nos enseña que las segundas oportunidades si existen y que Dios nos espera con los brazos abiertos siempre.

A feel good about yourself and humanity book. I was disappointed in the ending, I wanted it to end differently...but still good with beautiful imagery.
