This is turning out to be a great series by Rebecca Zanetti. I enjoyed Forgotten Sins with Shane and Josie, but thought this was even better. Matt, the oldest of the Dean brothers, is super Alpha and won't let you forgot it. And I liked how Laney was always trying to prove that she could take care of herself (even if she sometimes failed miserably). There were definitely a few minor plot twists that I didn't see coming and the steaminess between Matt and Laney was super hot. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I still find it a little odd when the two main characters are so hooked on each other so quickly. They definitely had chemistry though. Really looking forward to Nathan's story.

This is the second book in the series of these brothers who were lab created by a secret government faction and raised to be super soldiers. They all somehow managed to escape, and now they are fighting time to figure out how to disable a deadly chip that has been implanted in their spine. All while trying to avoid being re-captured. In this book, they get a lead on a doctor who can possibly help them. Matt ends up in a small town looking for the doctor, but finds the woman of his dreams instead. What follows is action and adventure with a healthy dose of romance thrown in. And once again, the past comes back to haunt the brothers and threatens their future.

This book was much better than the first book. The story moved along in a good way. I enjoyed the action as well as the romance. Matt really met his match in Laney. And she fits in good with the other guys and with Josie I love the family they’re all building. And I love the surprises that keep unraveling as each story unfolds. I can’t wait for the next book to see what’s next for out boys.

I absolutely loved Matt!! Those cocky/confident, alpha bad boy types always get me and he was amazing. Laney and Matt had great chemistry. I haven't read any of the other books in the series, but I plan to check them out now after reading Sweet Revenge.

first off: I didn't read the first one, but I bought it within minutes of finishing this one.

What a great book. It kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. Twist and turns and surprises all the way along. This book is truly thrilling.

This is an outstanding book and I can't wait to read book 1 and 3 (have to wait a bit for that one to come out)

Perfect middle of the night reading, this was breathless and angsty and it took all my self control to not immediately read book three after the late bombshell that got dropped.

I love matt and laneys story so much. Mr I’m to tough to fall for anyone had love sneak up on him when they both swore it was just going to be casual. Even after he found out the worst thing about laney he and he wanted to hate her he couldn’t. They are perfect for each other. The serial killer is the last person I suspected but it shouldn’t have been as shocking as it was. Love this series!

Liked this one better than the first but still the whole fixation with “soft” women 🙄
