Enjoyable mid-series book. The romance between Fox and Layla was good and the paranormal aspects of the series advanced well. Looking forward to the final book.

2nd in Roberts' latest trilogy. I liked Fox (the hero) a lot, mostly because he had kind of that clark kent, hot do gooder thing going for him. And I have a thing for guys who do the right thing, not because they know it's the right thing, but because it's just their character. And Roberts painted Fox's picture really well.

This is one of those stories that I again enjoyed the hero a little bit more than the heroine. I feel as if Roberts didn't flesh out Leila's character was well as she had Fox's.

Though the audiobook reader was not the same as the reader for book 1, she did a good job, though there were a few scenes where the voices were too similar for me to be able to tell who was talking at any one time.

Overall, I'm interested to see what happens in the last book.

Buku kedua di Trilogy Sign of Seven

Nemu edisi sekennya, tapi bukan hardcover kayak Blood Brothers sama The Pagan Stone

Ga sebagus Blood Brothers.....

Lanjut baca The Pagan Stone.(ntah kapan :p)

Predictable, but still good brain candy. The only thing that urks me was Layla's character. She's so annoyingly whiny.

Definitely entertaining, but it managed to hit many of my gender dynamic squick buttons repeatedly, which made it less enjoyable.

This was pretty much just as exciting to read a second time, as it was the first - a sign of excellent storytelling! This book picks up the story set in Blood Brothers, but primarily focusing on Fox and Layla's blossoming relationship. As a team of six, the friends make some importaint discoveries, bringing them (hopefully closer) to being able to end the curse hanging over Hawkins Hollow. I can't wait to re-read the final instalment now!

Book 2 in the Sign of Seven Trilogy delves further into the demonic beginnings that created the deathly chaos that attacks Hawkins Hollow every seven years. Three boys (now men) awakened the evil and together with three women connected to the evil's past are fighting to protect the love their are just beginning to find.

I found this enjoyable, if light and fluffy. I'm a big fan of light and fluffy - at the right time. It was the right time for me. :-)

i liked this book much better than blood brothers. i just really liked fox better than the rest of them-not the typical sensitive studly dude in #1(cal), and not the petulant rebel without a cause in #3(gage). i think more could've been done with their "gift," but i don't write books so take that for what it's worth. as a hero i just think fox is better- at least he knows he's being patronizing and acknowledges it. and i love his mother.
overall i'm not impressed by this series because by book two i still didn't feel like the end fit with the focus of the book. (spoiler alert) why does cybil come up with the next step and not fox or layla? why doesn't it come out of their gift? this kind of thing is what pushes me to straight (no pun intended) romance instead of (para/fan) romance.
