Dont get me wrong - I'm going to read the third book and finish this story, but book two left me a bit frazzled. This book just seemed toxic - basically a repeat of something good happening, a fight, an arguement and a sex scene. Rinse and repeat for 400 pages. I was still looking for a deeper arch - and there were moments for sure, but it felt like towards the end the tables started to turn back toward a great story. Hoping book 3 takes better care of these characters.

Good

I love reading this book but also shake my head at this book. Ava and Jesse seem quite like the toxic relationship, but it makes for such good entertainment. Ava might need to take several chill pills with Jesse.

I can't believe I nearly didn't read this. So much better than the first, though badly edited and proof read in parts. Still not as bad as first. Looking forward to the third one.

You know when you read bad fanfic, and you know it's bad fanfic and you keep clicking the next chapter because it's bad but like what happens?! Anyhoo, that is very much my emotions with this trash of a series.

This was one big dysfunctional mess of a story and, for some reason, I loved every freaking minute of it. This love story is definitely not for everyone. I repeat, it is NOT for everyone. Ava and Jesse have cuckoo banana, cray cray, is there a therapist in the house kind of love and somehow it still works for me. Jesse is the kind of character who makes you want to drown yourself in a pool of shallow water, but he is so in love, he's endearing. Boy is he screwed up, but his love for Ava is so blatant, I can't be mad about his behavior...for too long. I can't even imagine what is in store for book 3. Frankly, I'm scared, but ready. Bring it on, Ms. Malpas. I NEED MORE JESSE!

This book was so frustrating. It’s the same thing over and over again. It was to the point I could have just not finished it. But, just like the last one, it gets you hooked again at the end. The ending of these books seem to be what makes the books decent. I just wish the middle of the book kept me as interested as the end.

I really wanted to enjoy this book and finish the series but I need growth out of the characters and neither character has grown at all. I actually find I don't like either character so I was having trouble with this book beyond just feeling the characters were spoiled rotten and deserve each other. Not my cup of tea and I will not be finishing this series...

Yet another incredible series to add to my list of favorites! I have been hearing about this series & waiting to read it for months and finally did. Read the first book and 1/5 days and this one I couldn't put down. Read from beginning to end in one day and am DYING to get right onto the next. This is truly a must-read series!
