I found this book in the YA discount section of a bookstore and when I finally got into the book, I realized this was no YA story. The writing itself was descriptive and advanced, as well as the characters and plot. There were many twists and turns throughout the book as well as some time passage, but overall it was always adventurous and a thrill to read. You would never know a novel about deer could be so deep. Highly recommend for any animal lover.

I have a vague recollection of this, but seeing as how i read it around 2006/7 and still recognized it and didn't immediately go "oh god" with disgust, I'm positive I enjoyed it, though not more then Fell lol

The plot was decent, but the writing was poor. I’m really shocked this book has an average of 4 stars. The word “suddenly” is used 443 times in a 497 page book! I would suggest turning it into a drinking game, but I don’t want to be the catalyst to an endemic of alcohol poisoning among readers.
