I heard about this audiobook from Startalk - they shared a video with Malcolm and I had to go check it out immediately. I grew up not far from the airforce base discussed in the book and I had never heard of the bomber mafia. This book was incredibly informative. It was also incredibly emotional.
I have to admit I took stars off because this is supposed to be a scholarly approach and towards the end the book had some religious references that felt out of place and jarred me from the topic at hand.

This felt like watching a documentary or a video essay. I definitely recommend the audiobook.

Malcolm Gladwell is a bit of a pompous know-it-all, relentlessly confident in all of his assertions... but dang he weaves an excellent story from reliable sources. Particularly good because it began as an audiobook first.
